Articles

Articles (a, an, the) is a word used to limit the meaning of noun. Articles are divided into definite and indefinite. There is also zero article which means no article.

Definite Article – The

Definite article “the” is an article that is used on a specific or previously mentioned people, things or thoughts.

Definite article is used either before countable noun and uncountable noun.

Indefinite Articles – A, An

Indefinite article “a / an” is an article that is used for a noun (person or thing) that is not specific.

It is not referring to a particular person, thing, or idea, but rather refers to a person, thing, or idea in general.

Indefinite article is only used before singular countable noun.
